Fantastic Val d'Isere Chalet!

Oh my goodness, our family ski holiday in Val d'Isere was absolutely brilliant! We stayed in a catered chalet and it was just perfect. The food was delicious, and the staff were so helpful with everything, even the kids loved it. It was ski-in ski-out, which was such a convenience. Seriously, I'm already planning our next trip with them. My friends need to know about Ski France!

Great deal on a Meribel chalet

I was looking for the best deal for a Meribel chalet and Ski France had an early bird discount that looked promising. I got a low deposit booking, which was really helpful for my budget. The chalet was just what we needed for our group. We even got the lift pass inclusive deal, which saved us some extra money. Felt like I got a good amount for what I paid.

Good trip, some minor issues

I booked a catered chalet in Val d'Isère for a family ski holiday back in February. Overall, the experience was positive. The chalet itself was well-maintained and the catering staff did a decent job with the meals, though breakfast options could have been a bit more varied. Booking the lift passes through Ski France was convenient and saved us some hassle on arrival. The transfers were also smooth. My main gripe was with the communication before the trip; it sometimes took a while to get responses to my emails, especially regarding specific dietary requirements for one of our kids. We eventually got it sorted, but it added a bit of stress. Value for money was pretty good, considering the catered aspect and location.

Good value, minor snag

We booked a ski hotel in Alpe d'Huez for a short break. The price was competitive, especially with a last-minute deal we found. The hotel was comfortable and very close to the slopes, which was a big plus. The booking process was smooth, and the website was easy to navigate. My only small criticism is that the promised 'free airport transfers' felt a little disorganised on arrival; we waited longer than expected for our shuttle. Once we were on our way, though, everything else was great. I'd consider booking with them again for the value.

Consistent service for La Plagne

This was my third time booking with Ski France, this time for La Plagne accommodation. They are consistently reliable. I've always found their chalets to be as advertised, and the ski transfers are usually on time. This trip was no different. It's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect. No surprises, which is good when you're planning a holiday.

Reliable choice for Meribel

This was my third time booking with Ski France, and once again, they delivered a solid experience. We stayed in a Meribel chalet this time, and it was consistent with my previous bookings – good location, clean, and the staff were friendly. I appreciate that their descriptions are always accurate, so there are no surprises when you arrive. I also booked the ski hire through them, which was seamless, just like before. The one thing I'd mention is that their online check-in process could be a bit more streamlined; it felt a little clunky compared to other travel sites. But for reliability and the quality of accommodation, they remain my go-to for French Alps trips.

Detailed review of Tignes apartment

I booked a self-catering apartment in Tignes for a group ski trip. The booking process online was straightforward, and I received a confirmation email almost immediately. Deposit was reasonable. We also pre-booked our lift passes and ski hire through Ski France; everything was ready for us upon arrival. The apartment itself was well-maintained and as described on the website, though a little smaller than the photos suggested for five adults. We had one minor issue with the heating, but customer support was responsive when I called, and someone came to fix it within a few hours. Delivery of documents was digital and timely. Overall, a solid experience for a ski holiday.

Anyone know how much deposit they need for a booking? Trying to plan a trip for next March but don't want to pay it all upfront.

M Mark 1 month ago
I think they do low deposit bookings sometimes, especially for early birds. Worth checking, it's usually not the full amount.

P Paul Harris 1 month ago
Yeah, they often have low deposit options, especially for trips further out. My buddy booked a December trip back in summer and only paid like 10-20% upfront, then the rest closer to the date. It's usually on the booking page.

Thinking about a last minute booking for January, probably for a group of 8. What kind of discounts can you realistically expect?

M Matt Davis 1 week ago
Last minute can be pretty good, especially for groups. I saw up to 40% off once for a trip that was like a month away. Worth checking their 'late deals' section.

My mate got a decent chunk off his trip by waiting till close to the departure date. It's a gamble but can pay off.

How do these guys compare to Iglu Ski or Crystal Ski? Looking at a family trip to La Plagne and can't decide.

K Katie H. 4 weeks ago
Ski France usually has a good range of chalets, especially catered ones, which Iglu and Crystal also do but maybe not as many options. Crystal is often cheaper for basic packages, but Ski France can have better deals on more premium chalets sometimes.

M Melissa T. 4 weeks ago
I've used both. Ski France often feels a bit more 'specialist' for chalets, especially if you're looking for something specific like a hot tub or a large group. Iglu and Crystal are bigger and have more options overall, but sometimes less personal. Depends what you're after.

Thinking of booking a trip to Val Thorens with them. Do their chalet prices usually include airport transfers, or is that extra?

S Susan N. 1 month ago
Transfers are usually separate, but sometimes they have deals where they throw them in. It's not standard though, so check the package details.

For my trip last year to Meribel, transfers weren't included. Had to add them on myself.

Hey guys, thinking of booking a trip to Val d'Isere with these folks. Do they usually include airport transfers or is that extra?

J Jennifer T. 1 week ago
Nah, transfers aren't always part of the basic package. You can usually add them on when you book, or they might be free with some of the bigger deals, especially early bird or group ones, I think.

C Chloe A. 1 week ago
Yeah, check the specific deal. Some of the catered chalet packages or more 'all-inclusive' type things might throw them in, but it's not a given for all bookings. I had to pay extra for mine last year.
